PREMTOOL tile primer forms the critical base that improves adhesion, prevents failures, and ensures your tiling installation lasts.
Why Use PREMTOOL Tile Primer?
• PREMTOOL Tile Primer can strengthen tile adhesion: a great primer acts as a bonding agent to create a stronger grip between the tile adhesive, such as PREMTOOL Tile Adhesives, and the surface (substrate).
• PREMTOOL Tile Primer can help prevent overly absorbent surfaces, like plaster or screed, from soaking up the water from the tile adhesive too quickly.
• PREMTOOL Tile Primer creates a stable base: it’s essential to have a level and stable surface to tile on, which is especially important for uneven or uneven surfaces.
• PREMTOOL Tile Primer improves durability to help tiles stay firmly fixed for a long time.
How To Use PREMTOOL Tile Primer
1. Surface Preparation:
• Ensure the application area is thoroughly dry and in a sound and stable condition.
• The surface must be free from contaminants that may hinder adhesion, such as dust, oils and grease.
• All laitance and surface treatments must be removed. Surfaces must be roughened by mechanical scabbing to enhance the key.
• Underfloor heating must be switched off for at least 48 hours before and after application.
2. Application:
• The product should be applied using a brush or roller and scrubbed well into the surface to avoid pooling.
• Allow to fully dry.
• For multi-coats, ensure each coat dries before you apply the next.
